Spring is here. Summer is coming. Now is hardly the time to even think about anything with the word “Christmas” included. Up until All Tomorrow’s Parties’ announcement of their Nightmare Before Christmas festival this year, that is.
Held at Butlins in Minehead on December 4th through the 6th, curating the event is the legendary shoegaze band My Bloody Valentine.
Already announced so far are acts such as Sonic Youth, De La Soul, The Horrors, EPMD, and Sun Ra Arkestra. That’s just the beginning of it. More names will be confirmed as the year passes by.
Early bird tickets are on sale now but will most likely sell out quickly. Full price tickets are already available as well.

ATP sez:
All Tomorrow’s Parties are extremely excited to announce that THE JESUS LIZARD have reformed and will perform at the Fans Strike Back festival in 2009.
In what has to rank as one of the most unlikely developments in rock, the awe-inspiring primal force of the Jesus Lizard will return, briefly, in 2009. The original line-up of David Yow, Duane Denison, David Wm. Sims and Mac McNeilly will reform for a very limited series of live dates in 2009, starting with the All Tomorrow’s Parties event dubbed The Fans Strike Back in Minehead, UK on May 9 and 10 and ending with a

ATP is one of our favourite festivals. Exciting bands, holiday camp chalets, liver damage and fry ups combine to make a great couple of weekends.
Pitchfork are curating this year’s May event and have put together a darn good lineup (full list below). This morning they announced two more confirmations that made us feel warm inside.
Times New Viking (last.fm page / myspace page) and Jay Reatard (last.fm page / myspace page) will be joining the bill, and what a bill it is. Read on for the full lineup and event details.
